Court Tomorrow!!

Yesterday morning I woke up to my husband on the phone with his brother asking him for us to come pick up his two daughters because DHS was there to take them if we didn't. I imediately got up and dressed and was out the door. When I got to his house the SW wouldn't let me take the kids with me...she said that my husband and I would have to go thru background checks befor we could keep the kids but that she would get that done and bring them to my house later in the day/evening. Well we get another call from bil later saying that he just talked to the SW and she said that we can't have the girls! So I called her to find out why and she told me because they were removed for suspected abuse and we lived so close to their parents we couldn't take them. But if I understood her correctly after they have court if the parents agree with and start a treatment plan then it's ok for them to be place with us. Well their court is tomorrow afternoon and my bil already spent the day setting up treatment for himself (has ptsd from the army is the problem) already.

So I'm asking for prayers that things work out tomorrow so my nieces are able to come home with me where I know that they are safe and don't have to spend the weekend or any more time in a shelter or foster home.

That is so weird when the state took my sister in laws kids she was living in an apartment in my home....(i turned her in, she was unaware) they let the kids come down and live with me and we were on the same property. I had strict rules to follow in order not to get them taken away, but we all followed them and they are now back in her care.
