Is a replaced snap not "new?"

I bought several BGEs while out of town. On one, one of the tab snaps broke before I even prepped it. It doesn't fit DD very well, but I can't just go to the store to return it, so I am trying to decide whether to pay to have the snap replaced and sell it close to full price, or sell it for less with the broken snap.

Question: can I still describe it (and sell it) as "New" if a snap has been replaced? I would disclose the replacement, of course.

Also: is it worth bothering - will I be able to get enough more for a repaired diaper to make the cost of snap replacement worthwhile?

I would try to sell it as is...it is possible that whoever buys it will be able to replace the snap themselves.

I would maybe put "new" in the title to draw attention, but fully explain, as you have here.

I had a not-new BGE where a snap suddenly broke and I didn't contact the store where I bought them, I contacted cotton babies directly. I had to send them a copy of my original receipt, but they were awesome about replacing the diaper outright.

Just another option.

Hmm, I'll check my suitcase for the receipt, but I'm not sure I kept it. The only other times I've had a problem I've just gone back to the store, and the diaper stores here all know me

Do you think they'd do a warranty repair without a receipt since it's clearly new? I haven't even washed it.

You can always try contacting the store you bought it from. I didn't keep my receipt and of course a FB OS I bought turned out defective. All I had to do was contact the store owner for a copy of the receipt to give to Mother of Eden. It's worth a shot. Good luck!
