S/O Did you discuss parenting w/partner before you married?

We did, since we knew we wanted a large family and we are both very family- oriented. We come from similar backgrounds with one big difference: his parents believe spanking is the best and really only form of discipline that works. This used to be a huge issue, since DH tended to think similarly, but we have come to agree to disagree with them What is interesting is that they think I am a wonderful mother, they say so often, and I just want to shout out loud that perhaps they were wrong!! LOL

Really there have been few other issues with parenting. Our views, other than the above, have really not changed much. OK, I didn't believe in EBF, co sleeping, or cloth diapering before having kids- so I guess I have grown up and gotten more crunchy!
