Healthy, portable snacks for young toddler?

I need ideas for quick, healthy diaper bag snacks that I can give my dd (15 mos). She does have teeth, but a lot of healthy snack options are choke hazards (nuts, granola, etc).
Any one have any suggestions? Is string cheese ok to give at this age? I want to limit crackers and include more protein. And of course, avoid sugar.

I use cereal puffs & crackers for outtings. when I'm home, I emphasise more protein & fresh fruit.

I also keep a little thing of the 1 serving applesauce & a spoon in my bag.

you could do dehydrated fruit if she'll eat it (mine wont)

many people use string cheese but my dd is allergic to dairy.

some of our favorites are ... raisins, dried cereal, string cheese, peanut butter crackers, cheese crackers, veggie booty and his favorite is i take a grill some chicken then cube it up ... i just throw this in the insulated bag w/the sippie cups when we leave and it stays cold for a couple of hours
