Simplesse v. Purely Yours pump

Hi ladies!

Has anyone used the Simplesse double electric pump? If so, what did you think of it?

I'm using an Ameda hospital grade pump at home (renting), and Ameda Purely Yours that I got from my sister when traveling. I don't want to rent the pump forever as it gets pricey. The Purely Yours doesn't seem to really "kick in" for 10 minutes into pumping, so I'm thinking that its lifespan may be close to the end. Does anyone else have this issue? It seems so "choppy" too--not smooth like my hospital pump.

Thoughts would be appreciated! I'll be using this pump for EPing so it's gotta have some steam to it!

My PY is a pile too. I really don't think they were designed for "serious pumpers" which, I was "only" pumping for work. I can only imagine the supply issues I would have had if I had to EP.

I've heard things about the Simplesse, but they are new, and the only things I have heard are from "hardcore" lactavists. I've heard things like, the company is connected to some other company who doesn't follow the WHO code (Medela is in the hot seat for this too, and Bravada) Which, IMO is neither here nor there when you are trying to pick a quality pump to feed your baby.

I will dig my pump out and take a vid of it's issues for you. A lot of people seem to have similar problems, and I talk about it a lot, but it's hard to describe.
I really wanted to like it, I chose it over the PIS! But I feel like it's just not as efficient as a PIS or hospital grade pump. I really wonder if it was the reason I had a crappy time pumping. (Before it exploded in my hand) I had a manual that I was able to simply flood! But the PY I barely get 2oz in 30m? Makes you wonder. Too bad you can't try before you buy at Babies R Us
