So, I've been trying hard to go green. I've tried several homemade cleaners, but nothing seemed to work quite as well as Ajax, Comet, etc... until now! So I had to share. I think most of you will love this, because it's...
homemade diaper detergent! Yep. Equal parts oxyclean and borax mixed into a old plastic spice jar. Gets sprinkled on the tub and I like to add a squirt of Sals Suds. It works just as well as the stuff with bleach and doesn't leave that sandy feeling at your feet. I've also used some powdered detergent in the mix, if you don't want that added step of squirting in some soap. |

Re: sharing great bathroom cleaner recipe
I've used something similar to that, works great!! I usually use baking soda the same way you use this and then squirt a tiny bit of castile soap with it.

Re: sharing great bathroom cleaner recipe
Thanks for sharing, NewYorkBaby! I'll have to give this a go. I might have to give it a try this weekend when I scrub the tile grout on our bathroom counter! I imagine the Oxi gives the mixture a nice "kick." :-)
