what is your kiddo's favorite snack?

We're out and about a lot, and I always have to make sure I have plenty of snacks available for my 2.5 yo and now my 9 mo too.

They love:
cheerios in a baggie mixed with dried cranberries or raisins
string cheese
cereal bars (we get whole grain ones at trader joes)
small packs of crackers also from TJ's
dried apple pieces

for at home they love the pre packaged mixed fruit cups, (but I sometimes just buy a can and serve them small cups from that since it's cheaper.)

Any other good ideas?

Re: what is your kiddo's favorite snack?

The Kid loves Annie's organic cheddar bunnies (like goldfish crackers). These are actually smaller than the goldfish ones and make less of a mess.
Or I might have a ziploc baggie full of grapes, apple slices, and peas (not all in the same baggie).
This child cannot get enough peas! It's all I can do to keep the pantry stocked with peas..
And if I'm anywhere that has crushed ice, he will go crazy eating the yello'

I used to buy him the prepackaged fruit cups until I realized that they're all packaged in plastic number 7. I bought some safe, smallish containers and will just buy the canned fruits and put them in the containers. It's much cheaper that way.

My kids favorite is Just Corn, they eat a small tub together in one sitting.
Matthew loves his apples when we are home. I skin them for him but he eats an apple every day for a snack.

We keep Just Bananas in the diaper bag. We NEVER run out. They are lifesavers! I also keep Just Apples in there, but those are for me.

Re: what is your kiddo's favorite snack?

Ahhh... snacks. Here's a list of what DD (3yo) likes and what I prefer to give her!
  1. Cut up fruit (apples, peaches, pears, grapes, etc. Anything with a good amt. of fiber)
  2. Carrot sticks, jicama, cherry tomatoes
  3. All-natural fruit leather, no sugar added.
  4. ANY Annie's Organics Bunny Grahams or Cheese crackers
  5. Organic Animal cookies
  6. Fruit bars (from TJ's).
  7. TJ's Schoolhouse cookies (I eat these myself!)
  8. CHEERIOS!
The cookies or crackers are usually put in a Snack Trap, and the fruit is in a zip-baggie. I always have fruit and another snack with me when we are out. I usually give her the fruit first, then a cookie or crackers after.
