I went to see my regular doc today, and talked about my PE diagnosis and what to expect. He said that due to the surcomstances of my PE/DVT, I should be able to get off the blood thinners after 3 months, instead of 6!!
We may do more testing, just to make sure, but we won't decide that until my appt in 3 months.

After tomorrows blood draw, I should be able to go to weekly or bi weekly blood draws, instead of daily!!!

My vitals today were all normal, including my bp, which he said was huge!!

He said the clots should be absorbed in a month, so by then I should feel like myself again.

As far as the anxiety, he told me to try breathing excersises, and just remember that it is impossible to get new clots while on the meds. If I get them bad, he said I can call him anytime, to talk.
If the anxiety get's really bad, he will give me a script, but I would have to stop nursing. So I will just keep praying that God will heal the anxiety!!!

I know it will still be a daily thing, but knowing I'm doing good is helpful!!

Great! Glad you had a good appt. It sounds like you have a very good doctor. I hope you can manage your anxiety. I have had anxiety issues in the past so I know how tough it can be. Hang in there!!

Yay for a good report! Praying that you will be given supernatural strength to withstand the attacks of the enemy and will not be bothered by anxiety!!

Happy to hear the good news!

We had some major issues with my husband's family last year and my bp/heart rate/anxiety has been horrible ever since. I always had a type A personality (and worrier) so it didn't help to go through what we went through, but I've been doing breathing excercises and they really help!

Wonderful news! I'd be especially excited about the less frequent blood draws! Will be praying that the anxiety fades soon.

Oh Rosie you don't even know! They can only take blood out of my right arm, due to the erbs palsy in my left. My right arm looks like I'm a junky!!! As much as I like the reassurance of the daily numbers, I'm happy to not have to go to the hospital every day.
