Re: PP momma cloth in hospital

I brought some to the hospital. I never mentioned it to the nurses. I just kept them in the bathroom with a wetbag. I didn't have enough to use them full time but I wanted to make sure I had enough to use them right away when I'd be the most sore.

I HIGHLY suggest Pampered Mama's ice pack pads! I brought them to the hospital with the ice-packs in a little cooler (the small one from my breastpump used for bottles). When I put it on postpartum I told DH it was the best buy I've ever made! So soothing! And even the ice-packs that weren't frozen by the time I used them were still really cold and worked great! As for how they freeze-they do get hard but after you wear them a little bit they soften right up.

Re: PP momma cloth in hospital

I just had a baby 13 days ago and I used mama cloth in the hospital. I actually had a pretty annoying nurse and she put a disposable pad on me after the delivery and replaced it a couple of times, but after she left I started using mama cloth and it worked SO much better. The nurses never said anything about it. Like the pp mentioned I just waited until they left to start using it and so it didn't matter.

I'm just coming in there and telling them right off- neither me or my baby will be put in disposable anything and we will take care of diapers and pads ourselves.

I hate those stupid pads too! I will definitely be bringing mama cloth but since it's a birth center I doubt they will say anything

I would just bring a big wetbag, really what are they going to say to you??

I plan on using them. I don't know how they could tell you not to- it's on your body. I'll be wearing whatever I please. If they have a problem I'll be perfectly fine with checking out and leaving, lol!
