Potty training and pooping in toilet not floor?

My Daughter will be 3 end of August she is doing great with naked potty training and peeing in her potty but when she poops she just stands there watching it hit the floor looking scared instead of going to her potty to do it any advice?

I have no advice, b/c my 16m dd does the same thing...

DD did this for awhile but we just kept explaining to her that poop belongs in the potty like pee-pee and to try to sit down next time. We didn't make it icky or anything - just matter of fact. After a couple of time pooping she finally started sitting on the potty most of the time. She still sometimes doesn't realize she's not done and the last little bit ends up on the floor. It was hard for her to learn to poop sitting down because she's been a standing pooper for a long time - she'd lean up against something and poop. Her issue was more learning to poop while sitting rather than being scared.

I know this won't help but I have to share this wonderful story about my oldest DS... He Potty Learned early, a few months shy of two years old. He would sit to pee as well as poo. Then, Dad came along and ds noticed that dad stands up to go.... so he would do it too. about 3 weeks into this I started noticing that he was pooping on the floor in the bathroom. I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. well, turns out I had to explain that although boys can stand to pee, they still had to sit to poo. Since then it has helped ease tension about potty training for many of my friends, but I know it won't help you other than to realize that sometimes they just don't quite get it until they really truly get it.

Your daughter might just be a bit more timid of the potty for pooping, you can't really hear it, you definitely can't see it like you can with pee, and if you have her on a big potty, the splash, if she has gone before might have scared her, I know with DS2 we had to get a blues clues potty seat, and then it had to go EVERYWHERE with us just so he would go.

My dd was really scared of seeing her poop in her potty the first time...but now she enjoys getting to go flush it "bye bye" in the big potty.

Wow - I never thought of how a kid might have a problem pooping while sitting if they're used to doing so while standing. Well - that's something to work on!

Alora sat on her potty chair without being asked and did her first in potty poopy and because Dad is at work we took a picture for him

my 27mo boy does it too. he stands RIGHT NEXT TO the dang potty. sint scared, but he likes to lean a certain way..and cant do that sittting. grr lol
hes all proud of himself to wet in it though...
