Re: Is 6:30 too early for bedtime...lol

Bedtime around here has always been between 6:30 and 7:00! I don't think I'll make it any later until DD1 is in school, and even then maybe not, depends how I think she is doing with the time. Little kids have no idea what "time" it is so really if I say it's bedtime, how are they going to know the difference, lol?

What time do they get up if there down so early? Ds goes to bed around 10, and sleeps til 8-9am. I'm so afraid go move his bed time early for fear we'll be up at 6 which is just to early for me. Blah

DD's (15 months) bed time is 6:30 pm, and we pay hell if she stays up later. She is a fantastic sleeper and will sleep through until around 0800 the next morning. Once we let her stay up until ten, as we were out visiting friends. For THREE days her schedule was ruined. Never, never again.

He used to not seem tired until 11pm. He's also a light sleeper and wakes for water. Oh and if we try to put him to bed early, say 8, after a long day, he wakes at 4 am ready for the day. He even naps only 1 hour earlier if he wakes at 4 :0(
The more sleep you get, the more sleep you want.

Ditto. If Charlie stays up too late she doesn't nap well the next day and doesn't go down well at bedtime. If she gets to bed on time (7:30-8:00) she naps well, sleeps better, generally happier.

Not too early at all. My 15mo ds went to bed at 6:30 tonight at HIS request. We had him up an hour late last night so I'm thinking this hour difference is to help make up for that.

If she didn't nap much or well, then put her to bed early. DS3 usually goes down around 7, but there are nights where he's getting fussy at 6:15, so I start his bedtime then. We have the occasional night where DS2 will fall asleep in his bed or on the couch around 5pm and it's not worth waking him up for dinner (he doesn't usually nap anymore, but sometimes it'll catch up with him). Even if he did wake up, he'd fuss and be horribly cranky, and then likely be up until midnight. Just let them sleep.
