Last year, I purchased a Dryel at-home drycleaning kit for my husband's work clothes and a few other items that are dryclean only. I love it, because it's so much cheaper than the drycleaners-- and I don't want my clothes doused in toxic chemicals!
![]() If you're not familiar with Dryel, here's how it works. The kit comes with a stain remover, a dryer bag, and a pack of pre-moistened cloths. After spot treating the clothing with the stain remover, you place 3 to 4 items in the bag, place a Dryel cloth inside, zip shut, and put in the dryer for about 40 min. The moist Dryel cloth works with the dryer heat to gently steam clean and refresh your clothing. The system works well, but I do have one complaint: The Dryel sheets themselves are questionable. I have no idea what is in them, and they have a very strong artificial fragrance! ![]() I've thought about putting some lavender eo on a wet rag and using that instead of the Dryel cloths... but could this potentially ruin my clothes? Has anyone tried anything along these lines? Thanks for your help!

Re: Homemade Dryel cloths?
interesting question? Do you have something that's dry clean only that's ready for the thrift shop? maybe you could do a trial run?
