Another New Tide Lover!!!

So I have been using RnG without issue but DDs night times dipes were STINKY in the am and all together the diapers just were not as soft as I would like them to be. I have been reading the threads about long term use of RnG so with a litlle left I decided I would forgo refilling and switch to tide. I'm so glad i did...the night time diapers are not as STINKY...(stink after 10hrs can be expected) but the others are so soft and smell good too. I use flats, megaroos, GMs at night and Tots Bots for the babysitter. I noticed a huge difference in the Tots Bots inners...I didn't realize how crunchy they actually were.

I was a little worried about DDs skin reacting but so far so good!! I found my 40 load boxes of orginal tide--non ultra at Big Lots and next time I'm out I will pick up a couple more. Thanks for all the endless threads about Tide...it pushed me over the edge

LOL I told DH I needed to get more. I'm only using about 2tbs in my FL but I'm so worried its going to run out. He of course thinks I'm crazy! I need to check at lowes and at least get one big box!

Re: Another New Tide Lover!!!

I adore original Tide too!! I also switched from RnG and will NEVER go back. What a waste of money!!

I have to share this PSA though, laundry detergent expires. I called Tide directly and asked. They said a sealed box is good for one year. After that, the enzymes, surfactants and fragrance break down and aren't as effective. It will still clean, but not as well.

You don't need to buy too much if you are using original powder Tide. I bought one box (180 loads) at BJ's when my daughter was born...she is almost two and we are working on potty training. I have yet to purchase more Tide...but I do only use the box for washing my diapers. I use other detergents for our clothes.

I'm an RnG user. You care to give me the low down on Tide?
