Re: How much do you pay a MONTH for child care?
we pay $108 a week for one child. She goes from 7 - 3:30ish. We live in Anderson SC and most places range from $100 - $125. I can't believe how different the rates are across the country, but so are the wages.

Re: How much do you pay a MONTH for child care?
I live in Phoenix, in actual Phoenix, and I actually found a nice place that isn't "for only the rich with rich wallets" - mom and pop at home daycare got revamped and the house got refitted for a day care/preschool and an extra building for babies, huge acre yard with amazing play equipment, sun room is an art room and a large garden and chicken coop, also they still run it and some of the staff went there as children... they were $160/week full time ($660/month) - I considered myself more than lucky and thankful for something like this in this city. The nice places cost at least $220+/week.

I'm in NJ and pay a babysitter $120/day. She is at my house from 8am-5:15pm.
Daycare around here is pretty expensive- when I looked into it it was $1000/month for 2 children and that was for 2 days/week. Eta- I have a babysitter twice a week, so it costs me $960/ month. My mom does the other days and I dont pay her.
