My friend's 1.5 year old daughter fell off some playground equipment yesterday from about 5 feet up. They took her to the ER and determined that she had a fractured skull and a brain bleed. They flew her from Odessa, TX to Covenant Childrens Hospital in Lubbock where she underwent surgery to remove the clot while the parents were still en route.

Surgery went well, but she will be sedated and on a ventilator for up to 72 hours and will remain in the PICU for for at least 3-4 weeks.

Please pray for this sweet little girl, as well as for her parents and sisters!

Thanks, everyone!!! She definitely needs it!

The doctors now want to keep her sedated for 5 days. She had a fever last night, and now some increased swelling in her brain, so they need to keep her completely immobile for much longer.

The parents have been told that her chances of surviving are relatively good (though not guaranteed), but there's no way to know whether or not she has suffered any brain damage.
