Re: Are you all taking extra folic acid, iron and calcium with your prenatals?

I just take my prenatal vitamin.... my ob has never mentioned taking extra supplements but I have 3 healthy kids who never get sick so I'm not too concerned.

I am a costco member,I didn't know they did prescriptions, where in the store is the pharmacy? All I have seen is an eye glass area and photo dept.

Re: Are you all taking extra folic acid, iron and calcium with your prenatals?

I've been taking those vitafusion gummy prenatals and the vitafusion calcium gummy's. Everything else makes my stomach really upset. What does taking the extra vit b,c,or d help with? I know all those are in my prenatal, but my OB has never told me to take extra. I'm also on 200mg of prometrium because my RE has all his patients take it during IF treatments. My insurance covers most of it so my OOP is only $25 for the month.

Re: Are you all taking extra folic acid, iron and calcium with your prenatals?

I'm just taking OTC prenatals and 50mg of B6 for now. I've debated with N, and even now about some Viactiv chews. I'm lactose intolerant and horrible at keeping up with my calcium intake regularly, and it's to the point that I've actually broken a few bones in the last few years. I was concerned with the increase in Vitamin D since it's fat soluble, and got nothing from the OB I asked with N as to what was too much. After reading that some mama's here take it as well, and reading the new recommendations about Vitamin D, I think I'll have DH pick some up for me.
