Mama, I could have written this. DD has always been a cheek biter when she's teething. This time was the worst. I was rocking her before bed and I could see her doing it; just gnawing away at it. It's the one spot on the body that you can't cover or put a bandaid on or make them stop. This time it was so bad that her whole cheek was swollen and it got infected.
The doctor gave us a prescription for an oral swab that we rub on the inside of her cheek when she does it. It is very scary to wake up and find that blood all over their face or on the sheets, and not be able to do anything about it.
