Ty. I am a newbie and I brought a friend to cd her 1st with me...the LO are a day apart and 2 months old now. I was making my self nuts because I have always used deft for all my babies and it was on the bad list. While my newbie friend with her 1st child was doing great using deft on all LOs things CDs included!
What you posted makes cents I was wondering what the big diff was between cloths and CDs and why all the special care instructions. Thank you !

Yep, I've been saying this for a while. I use bleach and Tide on every diaper from pockets to fitteds and none had faded, worn through or died. All my elastic and PUl is fine. Poop = poop, just clean it up. I am also sick of the 2 TBSP myth, 2 TBSP disolved into a large washine machine filled with pooped on nasty diapers and a ton of water is not enough to remove the feces.

Good job moma!!! Wish I had been told these thing when I started 6 yrs ago. Took us 6 mts to figure out it was all crap. And I might add "I love bleach". it has yet to damage a dipe in this house. Not one single dipe. Yes, it faded a cpl natural fiber ones but their not gold. I would much rather have a clean odor free and rash free child than worry about $$ value. Mine are clean and stain free and the kiddos bums have allways been happy with a simple routine. It just works for us.And for those wondering, I bleach it all!

How much bleach are you using on dipes with elastic and PUL? I'm thinking I may need to try some in my next load of fuzzibunz... I DO use what I think is enough Tide (at least that was enough in my old machine), but since getting my HE machine, they stink. (I use at least to the 1 line on the Tide scoop)

This is my EXACT routine. I use Tide and no longer have stink issues/buildup etc. Sometimes I add a tiny drop of dawn to a load if its extra poopy or has been sitting for a while and it helps keep everything fresh and clean. I think people stress too much about their routine.

I use 1/2 cup in my daily wash but I know some momas feel safer using 1/4 cup.

Giggle. Sorry the last laugh just made me laugh. But since seeing a post of yours on "I bleached and I think I liked it" thread I have started using bleach.
