Re: Do your baby wear CD in a hot weather?

I'm also curious as to how a 10mo old refuses to wear a CD. My son screams and cries at nearly every diaper change no matter what we put on him; which 100% of the time is CD. I have several different diapers; now that we got our fitteds, and he still fights it.

I wish he understood that if he just laid still and let me change him that we'd get done a LOT faster and he could get back to playing. He just hates being contained when he could be down playing.

Re: Do your baby wear CD in a hot weather?

Thank you everyone. We use GroVia and bumgenius 4.0 mostly. We are new to CD. So we use CD and disposable diapers at same time. I found when the weather gets hot, my DS refuses to CD but accept disposable diapers. I never try wool and fleece. I see both wool and fleece are pull-up type, not sure if it's easy to clean and change when he got poos... Yes all our CDs are PUL cover and are not breathable at all.

There are wool covers that are wrap style instead of pull-on style.

There is no way to let him laid down... When I change my DS, I always face his back and let him stand up. Which is much easier for us. If I put CD on him, he just use his hand to try to take it off and cry. But for disposable diaper, he is fine. I'm suprised that no one has the similar issue... I'm in Toronto, a few days ago here was very hot and humid...

I've never had an issue with cds and heat. I'm in Phoenix, so it's hot a lot.

Do you use pul or wool/fleece? I'm thinking to change to a fleece first. The wool is too pricy

Re: Do your baby wear CD in a hot weather?

We only CD & DS doesn't care whats on his bum. If its really hot & we are just around the house he normally is in a fitted coverless or if we go out with wool. But I still use PUL so he can wear normal clothes. We have been spending most of our time in the pool/outside in a swim diap & bathing suit though..

PUL only during the day. I only use wool at night. We get heat rash sometimes with pockets, but no issues at all with prefolds/natural fiber AIOs and PUL.

Nikky/Nijji/wool cover with prefold or fitted cover less. Grovia AIO when go out. My son does not have rash but sweat like crazy with PUL and pockets
