Cascade Superwash Wool--for longies?

Will Cascade Superwash Wool work as a diaper cover?

IF SO-how & why, bc it is machine washable....which is just blowing my mind.

BUT, there's a knitter who is definitely using it & advertising it as a diaper cover so I'm confused. I've always thought that it would NOT work.

Another thread for you:

Basically, superwash will not hold lanolin as well as non-superwash wool. So you can use it fine, but you'll just have to wash it more often. The good news is that it's superwash, so you should be able to machine wash it easily without worrying about felting and pilling.

Re: Cascade Superwash Wool--for longies?

I have a pair of acrylic longies that my MIL knitted (bless her heart)--I don't think she intended them as a diaper cover, she just likes to knit and that's what she sent over. Anyway--I used them over a fitted and they were fine. At the end of the day I threw them in the washer with some other delicate wash items and then laid them flat to dry. It's actually surprisingly easy care, I don't have to lanolize, I just use them like fleece.

I know acrylic isn't superwash wool but I imagine the experience might be similar?

I was told at a local knitting shop that super wash wool would not work, although I haven't tried it.
