I got the job now what??

I'm trying to think of all the things I need to get in line before I start my new job. Here's what I have so far.

car repairs so I have dependable transportation
work clothes
who will get the kids on the bus
who will get the kids of the bus
lunches (have to wait and see what the facilities are)
Have DH talk to his boss about him having steady days off
better meal planning as I wont be home to cook as much
get the rest of the family to chip in a bit more with housework

What else?

Figuring out a new budget to ensure your income is going towards the goals you decide on.

Dependable child care back up just incase. A slow cooker meal book! Try planning days to do laundry etc. So the whole weekend is not grocery, laundry, cleaning. A chart to rotate jobs weekly including you and hubby so it looks like everyone chips in.

Re: I got the job now what??

Great ideas, ladies. Thanks.

I'm really not all that sure that we'll be all that far ahead of the game with me working. But we shall see.

I plan on using the daycare at my church over the summer. So that is my back up after school plan as well.

Since it is part time, I'm hoping to have one school day a week off to catch up on things around the house. That way the weekend wont be hogged up.

To make matters even more difficult, my DH's work is thinking about sending him to work at a store an hour away instead of the half hour he drives now. That will screw up my plan to have him get the kids on the bus. I'm hoping it doesn't happen.

Re: I got the job now what??

I went shopping for work clothes today. sigh. After spending over $100 at TJ Max, I got discouraged. So I went to the Goodwill and got half a dozen pairs of slacks and about 15 sweaters for around $30.

I know sweater season is about over, but all sweaters were $1.

I might take the stuff I got at TJ Max back. lol

Yes...make time to read, exercise, hang with friends or whatever else YOU like to do...it's worth it for everyone involved
