My Mood:
What meals can I make with all this food?

I have never planned out weekly meals before, but I'm afraid that, if I don't, all this fresh food will be wasted! Please, what meals (2 adults, 1 picky teen, 1 toddler) would you make?

(Eggs are NOT an option for dinner, as both my boys are allergic. I can bake without them just fine.)

FROZEN:
Keilbasa
garlic chicken
sharp cheddar
green beans
blueberries
french fries

FRESH:
parsley
sage rosemary
thyme
basil
oregano
peas
kousa squash
broccoli
cucmber
green pepper
garlic scapes
tomatoes
onion
garlic
romaine

apples
strawberries
raspberries

pesto (store bought)
hummus (store bought)

CANNED:
pinto beans
black beans
diced tomatoes

PANTRY:
rotini
pasta sauce
marinara sauce
sun dried tomoatoes
quinoa

flour, yeast, oil, butter, salt, pepper, jams, etc...

I am also going to the farm on Tuesday and picking up some local, organic beef and chicken (I try to do this once a month and freeze a ton), and there is a fish market in town. I am heading to the supermarket today to by bread, bananas, and snacks, as well.

Any suggestions?

If you're willing to buy rice, I think you would have everything to make a good variation of Chicken and Chorizo Paella, with substitutions (like your kielbasa for the chorizo). We love this one.

http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/chic...0400000112440/

* YIELD: Serves 6
* COOK TIME: 20 MINUTES
* PREP TIME: 10 MINUTES
* COST PER SERVING:$2.49
* COURSE: Main Dishes

Ingredients

* 1 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 2-inch chunks
* Salt
* 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
* 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
* 1 medium onion, finely chopped
* 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
* 4 ounces cooked chorizo sausage, cut into 1/4-inch-thick rounds
* 1 1/2 cups long-grain rice
* 3 1/2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
* 1 15-oz. can diced tomatoes, drained
* 1 cup frozen peas

Preparation

* 1. Sprinkle chicken with salt and dredge in flour. Warm 1 Tbsp. oil in a large, deep nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until browned on all sides, about 6 minutes total. Transfer to a plate.
* 2. Heat remaining oil in skillet and add onion and garlic. Cook, stirring, until softened, about 3 minutes. Add chorizo and cook until lightly browned, about 2 minutes. Stir in rice, broth, tomatoes and 1/2 tsp. salt. Bring to a boil, add chicken, cover, reduce heat to low and cook until rice is tender and chicken is cooked through, 10 to 12 minutes.
* 3. Remove from heat, stir in peas, cover and let stand until peas are heated through, about 5 minutes.

All You

Day 1: Sautee the Kielbasa, green pepper, and onion in a skillet. I like to add potatoes to mine, but I don't see your son the list. It's yummy w/ ketchup.

Day 2: Rotini w/ pasta sauce & a salad (romaine, cucumber, tomato)

Day 3: Roast Chicken (thyme, rosemary, lemon), quinoa, broccoli

Day 4: Burgers & Fries

Day 5: Fish (sautee w/ basil, sun dried tomatoes, onion, garlic) over rice with peas

Re: What meals can I make with all this food?

My husband likes kielbasa in a breakfast skillet.

slice the sausage, brown in a pan. Get some potatoes, and cut into cubes, brown in a pan. Add kilbasa, add some scrambled eggs, peppers and onions. when eggs are cooked throw in some cheese.

Chicken spaghetti.... cut chicken into bite sized pieces and cook. Serve over any kind of pasta with a red or white sauce.

I also see alot of salad options... a fresh salad with some chopped up rosemary and fruit, in addition to the regular salad greens.

God bless!
