reg top loader or HE top loader

Which would you buy and why? We have about $500 to spend to replace our regular top loader washer that has died.

Definitely a regular top loader. Search and look at all the hurdles people with he washers jump through... I used my Mother's once and it was a pita... I will get them from yard sales if I have to for my dipes.
