ammonia update

So i have tried all your suggestions for our ammonia problem to no avail. Well i decided to break down and try bleach... Well it didn't work.. What now?!?!

What have you tried so far other than the bleach? And what kind of diapers/inserts are you dealing with?

for me, I use dawn and bleach in my fl (hard water) and LOTS of rinses. If I'm down at my parents, I bring them and do a tide wash in the TL (not as effective). Good luck

How much bleach did you use? For it to be affective you have to use about 1/2 cup if you've been battling this for a while then you can use 1/4 c for maintenance every once in a while.

I don't know all the details of your problem, but I was using Hard Rock, switched to Tide and that took care of it for me. I use all pockets and mostly microfiber inserts.

It may take a few washes with bleach to get all the funk out. Don't give up!

did you strip them before bleaching? if not that may help. also like pp's have said, make sure you use enough bleach and try more than once. also if they are night diapers once you fix the problem try rinsing and then wet pailing them after using. hope you figure it out!!
