Baby on RAW goat milk

My son is 12 months old; he has been on raw goat milk since he was 4 months. I have been getting his milk from a lady who has 8 milking goats. I am trying to figure out if I should switch to organic milk because we are about to move and I wont know where to get it from anymore. He gets 3 bottles a day one before his morning nap one at his afternoon nap and one at night. He is about to start at a church school in Aug. and I donít think they will let me bring Goat milk b/c itís not FDA approved. Help me decide what to do please!

Re: Baby on RAW goat milk

If you make bottles to send to daycare how would they even know what is in it? It could b breastmilk, formula, cows milk, etc....IDK how they'd know it was goat unless you told them.

if you can find some i would keep giving him the goat milk one less change for him i don't see how daycare would be a problem how would they know it was raw goat milk unless you tell them. you could ask the person you get milk from now if she knows anyone closer to ware you are moving who also has milk goats

Re: Baby on RAW goat milk

I had my frist DD on Raw goats milk from 1-5 months of life. She did well until the goat who's milk she was using died (animal attack not sickness) and she did not adjust well to the next goat so we took her off. Now we do raw cows milk for the fam and loving it. I would google organic farms in the surrounding area and just call and see if they sell milk. Can't hurt to ask. Good luck.
