Weaned over 1 1/2 YEARS ago and nips still flaking!?

I nursed my dd for 20 months with all the usual struggles and maybe more problems with clogged ducts then most. I am SUPER determined to bf this next lo'd (dues in Sept) for just as long but withOUT all the problems. I have noticed there are whitish spots on my nips and if I rub/pick at them it is dried hard skin. You know how the skin is in tiny clusters? Well they come off and are as hard as sand. What the heck is this?! Can i get rid of it before ds gets here? There is no reason for the peeling, I have not been sun bathing topless or anything and DH is not rough with girls, kwim? I looked on kellymom and could not find a diagnosis. Got any ideas? I think I may have had this a long time, but not before bf'ing my dd, and it may have contributed to having a clogged duct every 3 weeks

Please have it evaluated by a MD ASAP. This does not sound normal.

Sounds like dried up milk to me. I had that at the end of my pregnancy with YDD. I never really noticed leaking, though I could definitely get drops out if I squeezed them, but I had little whitish/yellowish spots in there. It stopped after she was born and started eating.

Same here, I would kinda pick at them (very gently) in the shower cause it made my nips a little sore and they felt better after. They would come back a few weeks later, and now that DD is here and eating I never have them.
