Subscribe to threads to save them for later. You can sort them into folders, too.

Recycled wool is the cheapest and you can make it at home from old sweaters. Used wool retains value better than used clothing/diapers, so cheap knit or interlock is hard to find. GentlyMade on Etsy has nice wool crepe for good prices.

I use original Dawn and pure lanolin for washing/lanolizing. Never found a wool wash I liked and these work nicely. I get my lanolin on Amazon.

I put a pea- to dime-sized glob of lanolin and two drops of Dawn in a glass jar, fill with HOT water, and shake vigorously until it's all dissolved and cloudy. Fill the sink with tepid water, add the wool item, and gently press to soak thoroughly. Slowly add the lanolin mixture and swish around. Let soak five minutes, turn inside out, swish some more, and soak ten minutes. Remove wool and roll up in a dry towel, then wring to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry.

You can make your own fleece or there are a bunch of WAHMs at Etsy and Hyena Cart that make fleece soakers etc.

I don't have any flats links, but I remember the Dirty Diaper Laundry blog had tons.

I can only answer a couple of your questions, but here they are:

1 -- fav wool wash: Eucalan
2 -- wool wash routine: follow the directions on the Eucalan bottle LOL! Sometimes I'll add some extra lanolin by heating up water in the microwave, then adding lanolin and shaking up, then pouring into the water w/Eucalan and mixing that up before adding wool. Honestly I hate this so mainly I use my ImseVimse Bumpy wool wrap (if we're doing wool) and I wash it in the washing machine.
3 -- fleece longies/shorties here for EmotiBums; I hope to be stocking shorties/longies in mid-August.

Subscribe to them!

1- Reasonable wool shorties + longgies?

FSOT/Spots or recycled wool would be a great way to try out wool without spending a lot of money. And yes, wool tends to have good resale values, so if they don't work out for you, then you can get some of your money back.

2- Favorite, reasonable wool wash?

I use Eucalan to wash, and add Lansinoh lanolin to lanolize. Favorite one-step wool wash is Naturally Luxe (you can look for co-ops or sales.... I think a co-op just finished up here, though).

3- What is your wool wash routine?

Well, lately, I've been throwing more wool into the washing machine - I usually put them in a mesh bag (I only put interlock and felted recycled woolies in the machine... too chicken to wash the knits this way). I only wash them when they're dirty, not after every wear. We do distinguish between play wool versus inside-wear wool, so the inside-wear woolies don't need to get washed too often.

To wash by hand - soak the wool in warm water. If it's super dirty, rinse it out to get most of the stuff off. Then add Eucalan and scrub where needed (not too hard, but I'm not super gentle on my wool either). Let it soak for 15 min, then press out the water, spin it out in the washer, lay flat to dry.

To lanolize, I then take a pitcher and add lanolin and a drop of Eucalan, plus hot water from the kettle - mix it up with a cheap bottle brush, and then pour it into the wash basin where the wool is. Leave it for 15 min or so.

4- Fleece, want to buy some longgies and shorties.. Where do i look?
Here are some places:

emotibums

Julesbulia

this one looks like a cheaper quality fleece, but I love the design!
