Okay, here's a question. The Illinois law states this: (from the site linked in this post)

"Ill. Rev. Stat. ch. 720 5/11-9
Breastfeeding of infants is not an act of public indecency."

Keyword is infants. I know I may be reaching but nothing would surprise me anymore- what about BF a toddler in public? What is an infant considered?

PPs are right - in Texas, you can BF anywhere you have the right to be, but a private business can ask a customer to leave for any reason, so they can say you were making other customers uncomfortable or being generally rude (for a reason other than BFing) and the business is protected. So basically the only places you can BF and not be asked to leave are city and state properties, like parks. But Texas law does preclude BFing from indecency charges. has a list of laws for each state in the "legal" section.
