Diaper Swappers

I did EC with my daughter (who will be 2 08.08) until I had knee surgery, and then it seemed like she "knew" I couldn't do it and went back to pottying in her diaper (she was roughly 7m old when I had knee surgery, and she was almost 100% EC'ing, only using dipes over night)

so ever since I recovered she has had NO interest in resuming EC...so we've been FT diapering for a little over a year...

So, I am SO ready for her to potty train (she's physiologically ready, but stubbron as a mule)....she WONT even consider sitting on her potty chair..so I try to stay positive and not push it...and I've tried not bringing it up for several weeks at a time....im afraid she will never want to sit on it (her grandmother (not my mom) ALWAYS forces her to sit on it...no matter how much I tell her not to (she watches her one day a week so I can go to school) and it's ruining everything - she screams bloody murder if we even mention it. And if we do EC with our ~3m old, she goes hysterical "NOOO POTTY FOR HONTOOOOOOO"

What the heck should i do?!! (Reasoning with my MIL is not an option, she's the most awful person on the planet but goes ballistic if i leave my kids with anyone else)

nooo not my mom (my mom was great, but passed away when I was 17) its my awful, awful MIL

(mostly a moot point, but my mom was fantastic and would never disrespect me like that)

FRUSTRATING!!!!!! so sorry for you! in my experience, my lo was ec'd since 2.5 months, and i noticed a HUGE difference as to which potty he sat on. she may just not be comfortable. the first potty i bought had a really cushie seat, so it was never a problem. as he got bigger, and i put him on harder ones, he didn't like to sit AT ALL. maybe try a little cush for her tush? i'd almost tell my MIL a white lie like: "the dr. says that it's bad to force her...." i hope this helps, and good luck!!

sorry, side note, have you tried using natural material dipes? not the stay dry stuff. maybe feeling wet will turn her off from going in her dipe?

Yeah, take away the diapers and just give her undies. Toss Dappi pull-ons over them if you need some waterproof protection.
