Re: what keeps hapening?

Holy Crap a MOLY!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! That was the most amazing thing I had ever seen!!

To OP: Yeah, definitely looks like mold. Bleach is the only thing that will kill the mold. Like others have said, warm moist areas are their best friends. And if you hubby turned the ac off, yup they were happy in that pail. To prevent it... keep the ac on to help keep it cool and if the air is still very moist you may want to look into ways to dehumidify the air.

What kind of pail liner do you use? I had that until I bought the antibacterial pail liners

I agree it looks like mold. I had this happen once to a mf insert recently. I bleached it, boiled it, then eashed it. Do you keep your pail closed? In this hotter weather I keep mine open in the bathroom since I don't have ac and haven't had it happen again.

omg, that link is funny and disgusting. i've never seen anything like it. yes, op, it looks like mold to me too. we have the ac running and it's not very hot here but i am still keeping my pail open. i think it's been less smelly this way or maybe i'm just used to it.
