how many covers do I need if I'm using fitteds?

I've only ever used pfs or padfolded so I would get some poop escaping.
How many do I really need if I'm using all fitteds?

You could probably get away with about 4. You will have some poo escape from time to time. You can also go coverless with fitteds.

How old is the baby? NB-6 months I'd say 6-8. Older than 6 months 4-6.

I would say about 4. I started out with fitteds and some prefolds when ds was born and 4 covers, and I rarely needed all 4. HTH

W/a nb at least 6. Even w/fitteds we still had some seep to the covers and I like to wash a max of every 2-3 days.

Then i'd say 4-6. If you do wool or PUL. It's always nice to have a few back ups while washing and drying
