You may want to register with www.uk-yankee.com Lots of info on where to find things, US foods etc, how to work the hot water heater, the central heating, the electric kettle, registering kids for school, you name it.
Great threads on what not to bring and what they left behind they wish they hadn't.

Should everything goes to plan we should be there in 2012 or early 2013. It can't come soon enough for me.

We are from the Conwy area, so the top of Snowdon can be seen from the whole area. We use if for weather predictions, you know it's going to be cold if we can see snow on the top on a clear day
