Actually, if you shop on amazon.de books aren't that expensive. A book I love (The gruffalo) only costs like 7 Euro there - and yes, it is the English version...and shipping is free for books on amazon.de :-)

I did look at ebay they did not have much.
I cannot afford new. 10 to 15 books would be over 100 euro.
