Recommend nursing cover for distracted baby

Hi mamas!! I'm having a hard time with my 5month old.
She is a distracted lady. Especially with her 21 month old bro running around.
Thought I might try a cover to see if it helps.
I have used a blanket, but it constantly falls off...
Any recommendations? Where to get it?
Oh, and I have a nursing necklace, but she stops eating to try and
put it in her mouth. Crazy lady!
Thanks so much.

Bebe au lait makes the best nursing covers - there are some listed in the maternity breastfeeding section of the FSOT. The have boning so you can see baby and they have a flap that you tuck under your arm for secure coverage. I love them!

Re: Recommend nursing cover for distracted baby

at the nosy age my kids hated the cover! my current nursling is 6.5 months and sounds the same as your LO...very distracted, loves to watch his 3 year old brother. The cover keeps me from being exposed out in public when I am nursing him and he is distracted, but he pulls at it and wiggles around more than without it b/c he doesn't want to be covered anymore (he was good with it when he was younger).

a cover would be a good thing to try, but just warning you of the potential for backfire as has happened with my kiddo!

I wonder if my son is getting distracted. Just this week he started to kick his legs around while feeding, he waves an arm in the air, and turns his head toward his daddy. My nipples are feeling the pain! I have been getting better at holding him in a 'Vulcan death grip':-)

Hope the cover works for you. My lo is doing the same thing and there is no way I can get her twin brothers to be quiet while she nurses, I try, but is doesn't work She also, hates anything covering her head thus my pretty nursing cover is useless. Night feeds are easy when everyone is asleep and quiet, but during the day I have to wrap her tightly or rock her in my ring sling until she is sleepy and then nurse her--it is the only thing that works these days and keeps her eating during the loud hours

Re: Recommend nursing cover for distracted baby

I have a super distracted nurser right now (7 months). I don't think a cover would help, as it is the noise that gets his attention, not seeing his brother moving. If it gets really bad, I turn on a movie for my older one so he sits quietly while I nurse the baby.

My 7 mo is the same way and he would never allow a cover. I think you need to use them from the start so the baby is use to something covering them.
