A swing. . .ds1 would sleep in his or he'd be awake constantly. The other two didn't love it so much, but at least they would stay in it for a few minutes. I love my Beco, of course, not really during the newbie stage, but I have a fleece sling for that.

I gotta say a swing too...If I wasnt holding or talking to them they werent happy...SWING is number one on my list after carseat.

Here's the link. They make one that is $20 less, but it only takes batteries. I think the extra $$ is worth it to not have to buy batteries!
