BLW: Don't they have to be SOFT foods??

Starting around 11 months I also began offering peas frozen. We call it pea candy and to this day he LOVES it. Small peas thaw really quickly, and I think my son loved gumming the cold peas while he was teething.

Now at 3 I regularly serve him frozen veggies (peas, green beans especially), per his request. He loves his food cold and crunchy and I figure he couldn't have possibly chosen a healthier snack to love. Plus, less work for me ;-).

My son never had any issue with skins.
