Diaper Swappers

I'm sooooo excited about this. For the last couple of weeks, when I pump at work (which has only been part-time so I'm not too worried about supply), I always pump just under what DS ate from the freezer stash that day. Because of that, I always pump before I leave for work just for that extra feeding (I will also feed him if he wakes up). Well today I was in the pumping room at work (specifically for nursing moms) and one of the other moms noticed I have an Ameda pump similar to hers. She asked me if I knew that my parts (the tubing that the air goes through) would work with the classic Medela pump that work had supplied for the room.

This makes me ridiculously happy for a number of reasons:

1) I wasn't scheduled to work today, so if I hadn't gone in, I probably wouldn't have found that out.
2) The pumping room also has Medela Symphonies and I had been considering buying the parts for that--which is a $50 set--to save my pump some of the hours. This means I don't have to buy the set!
3) In addition to saving my pump and $$, this pump is hospital-grade and works waaaaaay better than mine and I pumped a whole ounce MORE than what DS ate while I was gone! DS loves to eat, on average he'll drink 1.5oz per hour I'm away.

I have a longer-than-normal shift tomorrow and thanks to the other mom and the hospital-grade pump, I managed to bump up my stash just enough to keep him happy until I get home!

I swear, if I have another baby and have similar issues to the ones I've had this time, I'm buying a Symphony. Just putting that out there.
