Hey there Mamas. DH & I are going to be moving to South Texas (Corpus Christi area) in Oct.....

DH is down there now starting work & will be getting an apartment before I move down there. Now, I'm just trying to figure out what we can afford rentwise & I was just wondering if some of you could share how much your utitlities are (roughly) & what companies you use.

Specifically, electric & internet/home phone (we're gonna skip cable as we have Netflix). Plus, what does it mean that water is allocated??

I grew up near corpus so I may have some answers for you. What town are you moving to?

We found that the electric ran a little high. Ex 200-300 in the summer. We paid $8o for home phone wit the local cable company. We didn't have internet through them so I can't help you there.

Our internet only (no cable or home phone) runs about $40 a month (Suddenlink). Our utilities right now are high high high because of the heat. If your in an apartment then it's going to be much less than what we pay for a house. We do keep the ac pretty high at about 82, which is hot to most, we pay about 200-250.
