Anyone have experience with + FFN test?

My doc did one today and just called me with the results. She was very surprised it came back positive and wants to see me weekly now. Im 28 weeks but measuring at 29. I have been having contractions on and off, and the last couple days I have noticed brownish little chunks sometimes when I wipe. Not to mention I have horrible back pain today. Should I be worried? I have a history of preterm labor had m first ds at 36 weeks. I did quite a few ffn tests with him but they always came back negative.

I don't know what that is...is that the test for preterm labor? I had a friend who tested positive for that around 32 weeks but then didn't have her baby until 39 weeks (after 1.5 months of bedrest). But I'm not sure that's what you're talking about..

yea thats the test. fetal fibronectin test for preterm labor. Basically says if there is a possibility of delivering in 2 weeks.

my perinatologist didnt even use that with ds bc its sooooooo inaccurate:huge:
with older dd i had a positive before 30 weeks...then a negative at 35 and she was born 2 days later. with younger dd i had a positive at 30, 32 and 34...she was born at 38. (there was also a negative somewhere with her). dont stress too much just stay hydrated and rest as much as possible.

okay then that's what I thought Yes, my friend tested positive in her first pregnancy. She had high blood pressure, GD, and lots of other previous health issues. She was told that she had a high likelihood of delivering within the next two weeks after she was admitted for contractions at 32 weeks, but ended up going home and birthing her baby 7 weeks later She actually went into labor before her scheduled induction!
