Best potty seat for a boy?
I am looking for a potty seat that goes on the toilet (so not a potty chair) for my DS the Bjorn looks like a good one but the reviews that were bad or mediocre said to not buy it if you have a boy cause the shield doesn't work that well.
Any ideas??? DS shows lots of interest in the big potty and not his potty chair any more so I want one that works.

Re: Best potty seat for a boy?
we had good luck with the bjorn toilet trainer & those character-themed padded ones like sesame street, thomas, etc

That's the one we have and it works fine for my son. He uses his hand to point his penis down so it doesn't spray everywhere.

Re: Best potty seat for a boy?
I potty trained my son on a Bjorn this summer and it's worked great for us! I bought it because the reviews on Amazon were so high. And we haven't had any problems with the pee shield -- like the other commenter said, you just need to hold down the pee-pee if they're going sitting down. Good luck!

Re: Best potty seat for a boy?
We just got it yesterday late in the evening and he used it twice yesterday and used it a lot today with my friend that is watching him, hopefully we are onto something here!

Re: Best potty seat for a boy?
We just have our kids use the big toilet, no seat. When they were younger, the boys would sit on the bowl and lower themselves. Others have said sitting backwards work also. It's gross to sit on the bowl when youre out, so I just help them push their thing down as they sit on the seat. But they learned really fast whether they have# 1 or #2. They would just stand for#1.
