Pumping and Hurricane Irene
Is anyone in the 'danger zone' for Hurricane Irene? I am in NJ and am starting to worry about the amount of time I might have to go without electricity. I have a pretty ehhh manual pump I can use, but it barely gets anything out. I'm just worried about my supply being affected by it! I just hope things don't turn out as bad as they say...

Re: Pumping and Hurricane Irene
I have a car adaptor for my Medela Pump in Style. So if we lose power, I guess I'll be sitting in the car. They say the storm has weakened, I'm hoping it weakens more before it gets here (I'm also in NJ).

Re: Pumping and Hurricane Irene
The power went out where I am, but only for just over 48 hours and not the 4 to 5 days like they said which was really good. I found my battery pack for my pump and bought some batteries. I hope your area did alright and you are safe!

Re: Pumping and Hurricane Irene
I use rechargeable batteries and charged them beforehand just in case!
