Re: Tide and rinsing-your experience

Ok, so this may be a bit obsessive, but this is my wash routine with Tide Ultra and oxiclean:
Wash on heavy duty HOT with 2nd rinse.
Express wash on warm with NO soap with 2nd rinse
Then I run a complete rinse cycle on cold.

I may be able to get by with less rinsing, but this is working and I'm too scared to change anything!

Re: Tide and rinsing-your experience

I pretty much ignore any issue of bubbles. Unless things are still foaming when the cycle is complete, I call it good. We have an he frontloader & this is my routine (btw we have a whole house water softener too).

I use Tide (lately Tide Ultra) and haven't had any real issues at all. After my initial rinse I use up to the 1 line on ultra (I used less with the original tide), I set my washer on heavy duty hot/cold, with a pre-wash, and an extra rinse. That's it & we haven't had any issues except on a couple diapers that daycare used butt cream on that needed a little dawn to strip. Ds hasn't had any issues from it and I don't have to run 50 million rinse cycles worrying about bubbles.

Re: Tide and rinsing-your experience

Wow you all are relieving my worries. I tried to the line 1 and ended up rinsing for an entire day and even w/ 1 TBSP am having to rinse more than before but I have never actually sat and watched the rinse cycle until I switched to tide. The diapers look soooooo clean w/ Tide and smell great too

I use Tide to the 3 line (sometimes more if the diapers are really dirty), and never worry about bubbles in the rinse. I have had stink issues only a few times, which were a result of the diapers not getting clean enough, and then when I started CD'ing my 5 year old at night, his diapers gave us some stink issues.
