Wow, thank you all so much. She has red hair to match my daughter's red hair. But it also has some pink in it, which didn't show up in the bright pics well, b/c my daughter says she herself has pink hair. Giving it to her tomorrow and I can't wait!

I bought it online b/c I won a gift card to an online fabric store. Otherwise, I would have never paid that much for fabric, even though I drool over the pip line all the time. So I was pretty stoked to get the gift card. I made my daughter a dress out of it. The doll is actually wearing the scraps from my daughter's dress. I don't have pics of my daughter in the dress yet b/c she will open it tomorrow. EEEEEK! Can't wait!!!

I bought a 16" "kit" from weir doll crafts. The kit comes with the body fabric which had the doll body "pattern" printed on it. But it was very similar to the patterns in my book which is called "Making Waldorf Dolls". THen the kit came with helpful pointers for specifications on head length and circumferance and stuff like that. I used online tutorials and the book I mentioned as I went along too, so I sometimes did things a bit different than the instructions in the kit called for, such as adding a nose, making the eyes round, the hair, and how I attached the head to the body.

My daughter loves her though I didn't get great action shots of her receiving her b/c she's so shy and the whole extended fam was watching her open gifts. I made her a matching dress as her doll and she has worn it for 2 days straight. Washing it now so it can be worn again tomorrow.
