Any other HG mamas?

Didn't the phenergan/benedryl combo knock you out? I have other kids to care for during the day and need to stay awake. How long did it last for you this time?

I am still throwing up 1-2 times a day, although I had a couple puke-free days in the past week. I did a six day course of steroids last week and I gained a ton of weight and ate everything in sight! Steroids are safe after 10 weeks, but I chose to wait until 13 just to see if I would get better with all the other stuff. Iv nutrition (TPN) was a lifesaver for me.

The phenergan and benedryl are sedating, and I get them through the iv line so it was really strong in the beginning. Now I have quite a tolerance for it. There was no way I could have watched ds in the beginning of this pregnancy. You could try taking them at bedtime and see if it brings you any relief.

I have a friend who couldn't get the zofran from her insurance even with the appeal. She ended up just paying for it at costco. Apparently the price is really good there and she figured it was worth paying for it.
