I have teflon and know/have known I need to make a change.. but have not had the money to do so.. my birthday is approaching and I'm thinking of asking for new pots/pans.

DH and i both LOVE to be in the kitchen and are wanting to give ourselves a nice Christmas gift...a brand new set of pots and pans as well! Right now we have a nice set of pampered chef but they are Teflon and i am not a fan of Teflon....They have held up for quite a few years nicely though.
We will either go with stainless steel or cast iron or a mix of both!

I hope you get a fantastic birthday present for your kitchen!

I have all sorts. My main set is a Tfal one that is teflon. Then I have a couple that are stainless steel that given as hand me downs from my sister. Not sure the brand but they are awesome! Then I have a couple cast iron that I'm still trying to get worn down enough to cook well with.

We bought THIS set over 6 yrs ago and are very happy with them.

All my pans are cast iron, so is my griddle and a Dutch oven. All vintage pieces I've either got from family or second hand. Non stick and cheap. Plus cool to display on my stove top, looks homey.

Pots are some vintage enameled ones, a huge newer enameled stock pot.

I have a Dutch oven that is heavy aluminum. Was my grandmothers, she got it as a wedding gift and the top handle was replaced with a wooden thread spool. That thing as memories and so much character.

All my baking is either stone wear (again second hand or gifts) or vintage Pyrex. (except for my muffin pans because I have not found cast iron muffin pans yet and don't wanna pay shipping for something that heavy)

I have a thing for Old and funky kitchen junk.

I have had these since April 2005 and LOVE LOVE THEM! I love having clear lids too so I am not constantly fighting the urge to lift the lid and peek:-)

I just got the robin egg blue paula deen porcelain nonstick. LOVE them!

I have a set from Le Creuset. Very expensive, but soooo worth it. I love them, and 8 years later they look new. My grandmother still has hers, and they are 50 years old. I also like Emile Henry for bakeware.
