Re: Bananas

I think bananas are a great first food to try when baby is 6 months!

Re: Bananas

We introduced bananas at 5 months. DS had been begging for food from early on, and he loved the bananas. Sweet potatoes were next.

Re: Bananas

I was afraid to introduce banana too early to my dd (now 7 months) as I was worried about her developing a "sweet tooth" too early. However in order to get her to eat anything, it tends to be sweeter fruits/veggies: sweet potato, butternut squash, peas AND banana Good luck! Watching babies try first foods is so much fun!

Re: Bananas

Bananas are great but don't overdo it because they can tend to be constipating. Don't worry about developing a "sweet tooth"-- breast milk is very sweet! I like starting with sweet potatoes because they are a sweeter, yet healthy, food and they are higher in iron (good for 6+ months babes)
