School lunch ideas

It's only the first week of back to school and my lunch ideas suck! DS is 5 and is in all day kindergarten. They are not allowed any peanuts or tree nuts at school so the old pb & j stand by is out!
Ds doesnt like tuna, eggs, hummus or wraps. Help!!! Any ideas are appreciated! I don't want to give him deli meat sandwiches everyday. I do have a thermos for Mac & cheese or some soup...

Re: School lunch ideas

Have you seen any of the bento box threads or blogs? Some of those have some neat cold ideas. I'll see what I can find.

Re: School lunch ideas

My kids do best with lots of little snacks. I do small servings, bento style or just in individual containers of cut up vegs, fruit, summer sausage, cheeses, crackers, sweet or savoury loaves/muffins, homemade rolls, pizza rolls, cheese quesadillas (I don't like them cold, but my kids don't mind them). Thermos items are pasta with a variety of sauces, leftover soups...

My dd takes spaghettios in her thermos or pasta salad w/ cheese in it.
You can pretty much put anthing in a thermos if he likes alot of warm/cold foods.
