international shipping????

PLEASE HELP!!!! I appreciate any insight!

What do you guys do about international shipping... it seems like the only way to be a protected seller and ship to Canada or overseas the cost would be about $30!

I have made 2 international sales. The first one was to Greece and when I looked up the estimated cost on USPS I got a decent rate but when I mailed the package I wasn't able to get delivery conformation or insurance or anything unless I paid $18 more than I was expecting to.

Second sale... I thought I had it figured out and was only shipping priority. nope, still no international d.c. even with priority!

(So now I have two packages in route making me nervous, please get there!)

How do I offer a decent international shipping rate, still covering my butt! Is a stamped customs form enough coverage on my end?

TIA!

I haven't figured it out either. Right now I am just hoping the stamped customs slip is good but it does concern me.

Shipping international can be tricky. If it's under 4 lbs., ship via International First Class - much cheaper than Priority. You will not be able to get tracking so I highly recommend insuring all packages that are items you can't afford to replace if they are lost. I use a third party provider for my international shipping since their insurance rates are so much more reasonable than USPS. (I highly recommend Endicia if you think you will be shipping internationally often enough to make up for the monthly fee.)
