Re: How long to see effects of new formula?

What ever works. It got easier the more we did it. But, there is a huge learning curve for it. What our GI did too was make the compound with less liquid/more medicine and that seemed to help as you are giving less. (does that make sense)

Re: How long to see effects of new formula?

I'm glad your doc gave you the 'script for Zantac! After my DD1 was on that stuff for 48 hours, I had a new child. That helped her, not the millions of different formulas we tried. We gave it to her with a syringe and to this day at age 3 she's an awesome medicine taker because of it. Good luck!

Re: How long to see effects of new formula?

We tried Zantac for our boy and he took it just fine, but it constipated him, didn't seem to help, and there is a much greater risk for repertory infections with it, so we took him off of it. It has helped our niece out quite a bit though.

How is your baby doing now?

Zantac work great for us for about 6days. Then nothing. Didn't get relief Rollie was put on prilosec caps. He had issues with the compounded meds so just sprinkle the beads in his mouth. How is the formula doing? Doug got worse on Ali we ended up on elecare and neocate and had a new baby in like 3 bottles.
