Vegan meal planning to share?
I am ready to make the plunge to vegan (already dairy free) and want to start while DH is traveling.
Does anyone have a vegan meal plan (weekly, monthly, whatever) they would be willing to share? Or, a great blog/website with some? I want to make sure I include enough variety that my kids don't really figure out what I am doing! They are used to me trying to new recipes all the time but would catch on quick if the menu didn't seem to change much! Stretching leftovers into additional meals would be a great timesaver as well. Hold your mouse over Recipeas, then click on Pealightful Plans This blogger had a book come out a few months ago, I bought it and it is my lifesaver. I would say a huge chuck of the meals I make are from her website or book. And she is hilarious also. |

Re: Vegan meal planning to share?
I don't exactly have meal planning resources, but I will give you a few links to a few tried and true sites with recipes that are kiddo friendly. My kids have been veg from birth, but it still takes a little trial and error to find out what they really like. Oh and if they don't like it and you serve it enough times they tend to eat it anyway
![]() Not sure what is in your vegan cook book library, but I will list a few of my faves that I use often (sorry if this is redundant): http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS.../chrisficti-20 *Dreena Burton's recipes are very kid friendly ![]() Vegan With a Vengeance by Isa Chandra Moskowitz *buy ANY of her cookbooks and you will not be sorry. I own them all ![]() http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/re.../dp/0762752815 *This book is amazing!!!!! I love her recipes. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS.../chrisficti-20 *Nothing mind blowing, but they are good and the slow cooker is always nice after a long crazy day ![]() http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS.../chrisficti-20 *lowfat unprocessed, whole foods based. I do tweak her recipes and use oil. Recipes are easy and largely kid friendly ![]() http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS.../chrisficti-20 *probably one of the best vegan cook books out there--EVERYTHING in this book is amazing, but most recipes are pretty labor intensive. A few blogs/sites off the top of my head: http://happyherbivore.com/ http://www.yourveganmom.com/ **love her... http://vegandad.blogspot.com/ http://vegweb.com/ ****There are so many more and I feel like I am forgetting some of my favorites ![]()
